Just a few ideas to whet your appetite:

 

• Spend a day exploring the Unesco world heritage city of Albi

• Visit more than a dozen outstandingly beautiful villages within an easy drive of Cordes sur Ciel including Penne, Najac, Bruniquel, Monesties, Catstlenau de Mountmiral, Puycelsi, Saint Antonin Noble Val, Rabestans and Lisle sur Tarn. 

• Spend a day or more visiting some of the best Chateaux in the Gaillac wine region to taste, and stock up on, wine for your visit and to take back home.

• Canoe down the Aveyron or the Tarn for a day of excitement and extraordinary beauty.

• The whole area is criss crossed with foot, bike and bridle paths so take a picnic and hike or cycle from the gates or take a tour on horseback

• For a special treat ask your hosts to arrange a hot air ballon ride at dawn over Cordes sure Ciel.  Advanced booking of this activity is always necessary

• Book at fishing safari on the river Tarn where some of the world’s largest catfish can be caught

• Visit one of the many summer festivals, antique fairs or flea markets

• Free Tennis is available to guests within ten minutes walk of Le Chevalier Noir
